01 — Who we are

Sheering Dog Field (“we”, “us”, “our”) runs a private, secure dog walking field in Sheering, Essex. We are the “data controller” for the personal information you give us.

02 — What information we collect

We only collect what we need to take and manage your booking. That usually means:

  • Your name and contact details (email and phone number).
  • Your booking details — the date, time and slot you choose.
  • Any notes you give us about your dog or visit.
  • Payment confirmation (handled by our payment provider — see Section 04).

03 — How we use your information

We use your information to:

  • Take and confirm your booking and send you the gate code and directions.
  • Contact you about your booking — for example, a change or a closure.
  • Keep records we’re legally required to keep.

Our lawful basis is usually performing our contract with you (your booking) and our legitimate interest in running the field safely.

04 — Payment information

Payments are handled securely by our payment provider who are Stripe.. We don’t see or store your full card details.

05 — Cookies & analytics

Our website uses cookies to make booking work and, where you allow it, to understand how the site is used.

06 — Sharing your information

We don’t sell your information. We only share it with the services we need to run bookings — for example our booking and payment providers — and where the law requires. We use Amelia for our booking system and Stripe as a payment provider.

07 — How long we keep your information We keep your information only as long as we need it to manage your bookings and meet our legal obligations, then we securely delete it.

08 — Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have rights over your information, including the right to:

  • Ask for a copy of the information we hold about you.
  • Ask us to correct anything that’s wrong.
  • Ask us to delete your information where there’s no reason to keep it.
  • Object to or restrict how we use it, and withdraw consent at any time.

To exercise any of these, email us at info@sheeringdogfield.co.uk.

10 — Keeping your information secure

We take reasonable steps to keep your information safe and to prevent unauthorised access to it.
