These terms set out how booking and using Sheering Dog Field works, and what we each agree to. Please read them before you book — making a booking means you accept them.

01 — About these terms

These terms apply to every booking made with Sheering Dog Field (“we”, “us”, “our”) and to everyone using the field (“you”). They form the agreement between us when you book a slot. If anything here isn’t clear, please ask before you book.

02 — Bookings & payment

Bookings are made online and confirmed once payment is received. A booking is only secured when you receive a confirmation email.

  • Slots are charged per 40-minute booking, at the rate shown at the time of booking (off-peak on weekday mornings and evenings, peak on weekday evenings and weekends).
  • Payment is taken securely online at the time of booking via Stripe.
  • Each booking is for one household and the whole field for that slot.

03 — Slot times & arrival

Slots run back-to-back, so please arrive and leave on time so the field is clear for the next booking. Your slot time includes entry and exit. There is a 10 minute buffer slot between bookings to allow you to fully depart the site before the next booking comes in. We cannot accommodate late arrivals, if you arrive late, your slot will be shortened, and doesn’t mean you can extend into the 10 minute buffer.

04 — Cancellations, rescheduling & refunds

You can move or cancel your slot up to 24 hours before it starts using the link in your confirmation email. Inside 24 hours, please get in touch and we’ll help where we can. If for whatever reason, we have to cancel your slot due to certain circumstances, you will get a full refund.

05 — Using the field

The field is private to your group for your slot. To keep everyone safe, please:

  • Close and lock both gates when you arrive and leave.
  • Clean up after your dog and use the bins provided. Nothing other than dog waste should go in these bins – all other rubbish should be taken away with you. If we are made aware that you have not picked up after your dog, we reserve the right to ask you to leave or restrict access to the field.
  • Leave the field as you found it.
  • Smoking is prohibited in the field and the car park.
  • You are welcome to come with another person, however we only allow 6 dogs in a slot, and 2 cars is the maximum allowed to be parked.
  • Please be careful with the water butt and ensure that the tap is not left running after you have used it.

06 — Dogs & supervision

Up to six dogs from the same household are included in a standard slot. Unfortunately we cannot flex on this. Please discourage your dog(s) from digging as this can cause the uneven surfaces and/or damage to the fence, making it unsecure.

07 — Health & vaccinations

All dogs using the field should be up to date with their vaccinations and free of any contagious illness. If your dog has been unwell in the past 48 hours, please do not bring them to the field. Additionally, if your dog has shown signs of kennel cough, sickness or diarrhoea in the past 72 hours, you should not bring them to the field.

08 — Parking and valuables

Vehicles are parked at owner’s risk. The Adventure Bark cannot be held responsible for any accidents, damage or loss incurred to vehicles or their contents and valuables. Please only park within the field gate and not outside it in any circumstance. The car park is monitored by a security camera for security reasons. Please do not arrive before your allocated time slot.

09 — Your responsibilities

By booking, you confirm you have the authority to accept these terms and that everyone in your group will follow them.

  • You’re responsible for any damage caused by you or your dogs.
  • You’ll supervise your dogs and any children at all times.
  • Whilst we inspect the fencing daily, damage may occur (from holes, trees falling etc) that we aren’t aware of. If you become aware of an issue with the fence, please let us know immediately by contacting us on 07793574068 or emailing info@sheeringdogfield.co.uk.

10 — Our liability

You use the field at your own risk. We take reasonable care to keep the field secure and well-maintained, but in the absence of any negligence, we are not responsible for your dog(s) escaping and/or leaving the site, or you encountering another dog(s). We do not accept any responsibility for dogs escaping, or any damage, injury or death resulting from a dog either escaping from the field or a dog that they may encounter. You must ensure that, at all times during the use of the site, you act as a responsible dog owner. The field is enclosed with 6ft high fencing, if your dog(s) breach these fences, we will not be held responsible.

11 — Weather & closures

We’re open in all weathers, so please dress for the conditions – wellies are recommended after or during wet weather. In rare cases we may need to close the field at short notice — for severe weather, ground safety, or maintenance. If it’s very hot, we will close for the safety of your dogs. If we have to close the field for any reason, you will be contacted for either a refund or reshcedule.

12 — Privacy & your data

We only use the details you give us to manage your booking and contact you about it. We don’t sell your information. See our Privacy Policy here.

13 — Changes to these terms & how to contact us

We may update these terms from time to time. The version shown here is the one that applies to your booking. The “last updated” date above tells you when they last changed. Questions about these terms? Email us at info@sheeringdogfield.co.uk.
